JFS AutoCAD course helping to create new beginnings
Upon arriving in the United States on a Special Immigrant Visa from Afghanistan, Rafi was ready to settle into his new home and find meaningful work. In Afghanistan, Rafi had a career as a civil engineer but faced barriers returning to this field in his new country. That was until he discovered the JFS AutoCAD Drafting and Design course, and thanks to a generous scholarship, he registered and completed the class.
Strong enough to ask for help
Stacey is a busy, single mom of seven, with children ranging from toddlers to teens. A survivor of domestic violence, she wants the best for herself and her children. When she faced financial hardships and learned about JFS, Stacey received the support she needed to overcome them.

Path to employment success
Transitioning back into the community after incarceration is full of difficulties. For Anthony, overcoming challenges, such as learning technology and finding employment in a world vastly different from the one when he entered custody, included participating in our Foundations of Digital Literacy course.
