JFS AutoCAD course helping to create new beginnings
Upon arriving in the United States on a Special Immigrant Visa from Afghanistan, Rafi was ready to settle into his new home and find meaningful work. In Afghanistan, Rafi had a career as a civil engineer but faced barriers returning to this field in his new country. That was until he discovered the JFS AutoCAD Drafting and Design course, and thanks to a generous scholarship, he registered and completed the class.
With a nationally recognized certification under his belt and interview support from JFS AutoCAD instructor Omar, Rafi found his new career as a drafter and designer at a global consulting firm specializing in aviation and airport systems.
Instructor Omar shared, “He attended every class, actively participated, and passed the Autodesk Certified User exam with excellence. Today, he applies his newly acquired AutoCAD skills to produce detailed, professional blueprints for major infrastructure projects, a true leap forward in his career.”
Rafi shared with JFS that he was grateful to find work in his field and that his new career has improved his mental well-being, giving him purpose and the financial support he needs.
“I am very grateful for the opportunity that JFS provided for me. It was a great experience! I learned a lot from this course. During the program, many good things happened in my life. I got a new job, and I had been worried about how and from where to start. I wish you all the best and appreciate the great support you provide for people.”
