JFS Awarded $500,000 for Vocational Training Program
Congresswoman Diana DeGette’s request was approved by Congress for nearly $13.3 million to fund 10 important projects in the Denver area designed to make more housing, employment, and health care services available to those in need. The requests were also supported and championed by Senators Bennet and Hickenlooper.

The City and County of Denver Department of Housing Stability (HOST) has awarded Jewish Family Service $3,502,208 from the US Department of Treasury to disperse over the course of 15 months. The funds will be utilized for JFS’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program.

JFS Launches New Programming to Foster Healthy Minds and Build Resiliency
Abby’s Impact: Realizing Resilience, is a program created to foster coping and problem-solving skills among young adults. The client-centered, integrated program includes a series of six classes for individuals ages 18-26 to help participants build skills to facilitate resiliency and cultivate healthy minds with the goal of reducing the likelihood of poor health outcomes such as depression, anxiety, or substance abuse.
