Providing nonpartisan voter information and ballot pick-up and delivery services

Jewish Family Service of Colorado (JFS) serves a diverse population of clients such as immigrants, refugees, older adults, low-income families, and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. To ensure that all voices are heard during the 2020 election, JFS has launched a nonpartisan voter initiative to provide clients with the information and resources they need to vote.

Starting October 19, JFS is offering ballot pick up and drop off to anyone in the community who cannot leave their home or feel uneasy being in the community during the pandemic. Coloradans can submit a ballot pick-up request through the website at jewishfamilyservice.org/vote or by calling 720.248.4700, and a trained JFS representative will pick up and deliver the ballot to a box in their district.

JFS is also distributing approximately 150 flyers per day through food boxes at the Weinberg Food Pantry. The flyers are translated into three languages and include important dates, how to register, ballot box locations, and ballot tracking information. Phone calls are being made to 1,000 older adult and disability clients to discuss their vote plan, help them register, and to offer ballot pick up services.
