Finding job success with JFS employment services

Suzanne and her partner were eager to move to Colorado to be closer to her sister, who just had a baby. Finding a job proved challenging for Suzanne until she learned about JFS’s employment services and met with a career specialist. Then, she went from having four interviews in seven months to four interviews in a week with Gabe’s help. 

Working with Gabe, Suzanne learned how to tailor her resume better using keywords and job descriptions that helped prevent her application from being filtered out by potential employers’ human resource software. “I thought I was doing a good job, but it turns out I had a lot to learn,” shared Suzanne. “Gabe taught me highly valuable information in this difficult job search climate, and he really made a tangible difference in helping get my resume picked up. He also sent me jobs to consider regularly, which I appreciated.” 

The JFS employment team goes beyond identifying strengths and goals to help find a new job opportunity.  It’s not unusual for clients to share how encouraging their employment specialists were during the process, and Suzanne is no exception. “Gabe was really positive and helpful when I felt like giving up. Not only has Suzanne started a job she’s excited about, but she also shared what she learned working with Gabe with her partner, and she’s secured a new job, too!
