December Featured Program - Arts and Community Exploration (ACE)

The ACE program is a person-centered interactive program for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities engaging in both center-based and community outings. 

The fall season for the JFS ACE Special Olympics Bowling Team has wrapped up. We recruited three new team members this year, putting our total to 12 bowlers. The team practiced for eight weeks and participated in two competitions: regional and state tournaments. The bowlers did well in both tournaments; three first place, three second place, two third place, three fourth place, and one fifth place ribbon for the regional meet. The placements qualified eight of the athletes to compete at the state tournament, where the team earned four gold, three silver, and one bronze medal. Everyone had a lot of fun and will be ready for next year!
