Our Friendly Visitor program continues to foster meaningful connections between older adults and dedicated volunteers, creating friendships that offer support, companionship, and joy.
This month, we’re highlighting the long-standing match between Sam and Brooke (names changed). They have been meeting for nearly three years and have built a warm, genuine relationship. Sam considers Brooke a true friend who has offered companionship and encouragement through many seasons of life. Brooke describes Sam as funny, interesting, and a joy to spend time with. She also loves visiting Sam’s beloved dog and cat—pets who keep Sam company when Brooke isn’t around. The two plan to continue meeting and deeply enjoy the time they share together.
