Boulder Volunteer Needs
Become a Friendly Visitor!
Make someone’s day brighter just by spending time with them. Our Friendly Visitor program pairs volunteers with individuals who would truly benefit from regular companionship and connection.
One client near Colfax and Yosemite is a warm and friendly woman who loves gardening, flowers, classic movies (especially John Wayne and Sean Connery), and her two cats—so cat allergies would be a challenge here! She enjoys chatting about pets and cooking, exploring museums, and shopping at ARC or Goodwill. She’s flexible on timing and open to volunteers of any gender.
Another client near Lowell and W 38th Ave is a woman in her 90s who would love a kind, patient female volunteer to spend time with. She enjoys reminiscing, flower arranging, doing puzzles, and socializing about family. Her hobbies include crossword puzzles, watching Gunsmoke and game shows, and playing bingo. She’s hard of hearing and has two friendly dogs, so volunteers should be comfortable with pets and good at communicating gently.
Requirements: Background check, proof of first two COVID-19 vaccinations, driver's license, and proof of insurance if comfortable driving clients.
