Jewish Family Service of Colorado (JFS) Awarded Funding for Emergency Rental Assistance
The City and County of Denver Department of Housing Stability (HOST) has awarded Jewish Family Service $3,502,208 from the US Department of Treasury to disperse over the course of 15 months. The funds will be utilized for JFS’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program.

JFS Launches Best Buddies Citizens Chapter
Jewish Family Service is one of the newest organizations to launch a Best Buddies Citizens chapter for adults in their one-to-one friendship. In this program, adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) become buddies and are matched with neurotypical adults who become their peer buddies.

Joshua had been experiencing inner loneliness and depression for years due to traumatic life events. He had tried conventional therapy in the past, but it had not worked for him. He came to JFS for weekly EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) sessions and he shares the positive results of this treatment.
