September Featured Program - Mobile Food Pantry

The Mobile Food & Hygiene Pantry continues to provide fresh, frozen and shelf-stable food, as well as hygiene products, straight to communities in low-access areas. A mobile food pantry gives JFS a unique opportunity to meet people where they are, rather than requiring them to come to our offices. Chad and Scott, along with our outstanding volunteers, go to different sites five days a week, rain or shine! This quarter we added two new sites, the Mosaic Campus and Project Worthmore. With recent changes in public benefits for refugees, this was JFS’ solution to meet their food and nutrition needs, since many refugees live and access services in these areas. Adding these sites has also allowed JFS to support households in our own Resettlement program. The Mobile Food & Hygiene Pantry will also be partnering with Colorado Access at several sites over the next few months to support benefit linkages in the community.
