September Featured Program - Food Box Delivery
Our Pantry Delivery program continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults in our community. Through the program, adults age 60 and older who are homebound receive nutritious food, with each delivery providing approximately 20 meals. Today, we are proud to serve 100 clients through this program.
Our yearly survey highlighted the impact that the program is having: over 86% of clients said it has helped them eat healthier foods, 77% shared the service has helped them remain in their homes, and 92% rated the service as good or excellent.
One client recently reached out to share how much his monthly pantry box means to him, “I am so grateful for the food I am given. Receiving my pantry box every month makes me feel like I am cared for and connected to my community!” His words are a wonderful reminder that every delivery is about so much more than food. It is about connection, dignity, health, and helping older adults remain safe and independent in their homes. Our volunteers play an essential role in making this possible. With each delivery, they provide not only nutritious food but also a friendly face and meaningful connection, helping reduce isolation and reminding our clients that they are valued, supported, and cared for by their community.
