March Featured Program

The Adaptive Bike program was designed to create a meaningful and inclusive space for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to engage in physical activity using adaptive bikes. Volunteers have been instrumental in ensuring the support of participants. The program has been incredibly fortunate to have returning and new volunteers the past two summers, who hop on tandem bikes with participants, assist in programming, walk alongside a biker to ensure safety, and create one-of-a-kind success stories for participants.

“Being a JFS Adaptive Bike volunteer has been so great. I have gotten to know some wonderful people, and riding bikes together has come with a lot of smiles, laughs, and learning.”

- Andrew, 2024 & 2025 Volunteer

“Volunteering with the JFS Bike Program was an amazing experience. Not only did I get to meet some incredibly passionate and kind humans, but I rediscovered the joy of cycling!”

- Blair, 2025 Volunteer
