The power of connection groups
Connection and support groups provide a safe space for people with shared experiences to connect, share stories and resources, and support each other through common challenges. These groups help participants feel less isolated by offering emotional support, coping strategies, and a sense of community. This month, we’re highlighting several hybrid groups.
We’re excited to offer a group for Jewish autistic adults who are 21 or older and have a diagnosis of ASD1. This social group, Neuro-Connect: A Connection Group for Adults with Level 1 Autism, is designed to be a friendly space to connect with other autistic adults and strengthen your community. The virtual group meets monthly on Google Meet for an hour.
Our Caring for Your Aging Parent group is held monthly, and participants can join in person or virtually. Whether you’re caring for or are concerned about your aging parents, we invite you to gather with peers in similar circumstances to connect and share.
For those of the Jewish faith who are experiencing chronic health conditions, pain, and disability, our JDA Chronic Health Conditions Support Group is a safe forum where you can find emotional support, share personal experiences and feelings, learn coping strategies, and experience a sense of connection and community. Based in Jewish learning and values, this support group offers a compassionate space for understanding and community.
