Strengthen Jewish life in Colorado
Tzedakah. Three syllables with so much meaning, and now more than ever, a vital concept to follow. During the 2nd annual Jewish Days of Giving , from May 19 – 21, you can practice Tzedakah and have a positive impact on Jewish life right here in our community. It’s an opportunity to join the statewide movement to unite and strengthen our Jewish population while raising awareness and celebrating our values.
As needs throughout our community continue to increase, we need your support. When you give to JFS during the Jewish Days of Giving, you help us sustain vital programs and services that:
Provide Holocaust survivors with the resources and support they need to live in peace and comfort.
Deliver nutritious Kosher meals to older adults in the Denver metro area through Kosher Meals on Wheels and serve older adults hot kosher-style lunches and provide time to socialize at the JFS Community Table Lunch program.
Offer adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities opportunities to connect with each other and the Jewish community and improve inclusion and belonging through synagogues, Jewish communal agencies, and other faith-based organizations.
Place trained JFS therapists in Denver Public Schools and the Denver Academy of Torah to provide children and adolescents with access to quality counseling services.
Provide direct spiritual care and guidance to unaffiliated Jews who are ill, in crisis, or near the end of their lives through the Baskin Jewish Community Chaplaincy program.
Assist individuals and families facing hunger and food insecurity at the Weinberg Food Pantry and Mobile Food & Hygiene Pantry.
Like us, we hope you believe it’s crucial to practice Tzedakah and support JFS during Jewish Days of Giving!
