JFS Boulder introduces our new community engagement liaison: Tina Kantor

Please join us in welcoming Tina Kantor, who started in October at JFS Boulder, serving in the newly-created position of Boulder Community Engagement Liaison. JFS CEO Linda Foster and JFS Boulder Associate Director Melissa Mascarenas crafted this position to meet the community needs of Boulder County, including addressing the needs of our volunteers, past, present, and future, and ensuring the broader community understands what the agency does. Tina will also work to expand our impact with new and renewed collaborations, partnerships, and outreach.

Tina looks forward to ensuring Boulder County hears about the big difference our social and mental health services programs make to residents struggling physically, emotionally, mentally, or financially. She also will help coordinate our older adult community programs and seek to engage stakeholders in new ways. Tina is also looking forward to meeting many of you in the coming months and years.

A Midwestern transplant from Wisconsin, Tina worked at Jewish Social Services of Madison as a Program Assistant for almost five years, and she has spent her career in the public sector, with the last 15 years in the nonprofit world.

Tina likes Boulder because of the active and engaged Jewish community here. While visiting family in the area over the years, she attended services and holiday gatherings at local synagogues, so she knew she would feel at home here. She also enjoys hiking, reading, board games, knitting, and other textile arts. She is tickled to live near her 8-year-old niece and looks forward to all the messy craft projects they will create.

Please reach out to Tina at tkantor@jewishfamilyservice.org or 720.248.4608 to learn more about the impact you can make as a volunteer or to invite Tina to talk to your organization about JFS Boulder’s mission, programs, and impact.
