The 150th Anniversary Executive Lunch is in the books

On April 4, 2022 more than 1,300 guests joined us at the Colorado Convention Center to gather with the Denver business community, learn more about JFS, and enjoy lunch and laughter with Amy Schumer.

The JFS 150th Anniversary Executive Luncheon proved that laughter is the best medicine, and there were a whole lot of laughs throughout the event. Amy’s best one-liner was telling the crowd that she was paid $300,000 to be the speaker, which was, in fact, a joke!

The event kicked off with speeches from Mayor Michael Hancock, Governor Jared Polis, Linda P. Foster, JFS president and CEO, and many others. Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, LLP was honored with the inaugural Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck Community Leadership Award, with Chairman and former JFS client Norm Brownstein accepting the award. The main event included a spirited conversation between Amy Schumer and her friend Jaye McBride

Money raised at the event supports JFS’s efforts to:

  • Sustain the programs and services that our community relies on to thrive.

  • Invest in new responsive, impactful, and innovative programming and guarantee JFS will be here for future generations.

  • Be flexible and responsive to crises of every size and scope.

If you were able to join us, thank you! A special thank you to those who contributed to the generous match opportunity presented by our good friends Elaine and Max Appel.

We’re so excited for all of our 150th anniversary celebrations! We can’t wait to see you at our next event, the JFS Family Concert, featuring a special solo acoustic performance by Nathaniel Rateliff, on August 28 at Mission Ballroom.
