Volunteer Needs
Denver Needs:
Friendly Visitors – Female Volunteers Who Can Drive Needed!
Our Friendly Visitor program thoughtfully matches older adults with volunteers based on shared interests, personalities, and needs–creating connections that are rewarding for both. Right now, the clients waiting for a match are specifically seeking female volunteers who are comfortable driving them on outings.
Here are three neighbors looking for a friendly face:
A female client near E. Alameda & S. University Blvd. is seeking a female volunteer for monthly morning visits. She enjoys going to lunch (Thai food or burgers), attending theater performances (opera, symphony, musicals), visiting art museums, taking walks, attending lectures, reading, and doing her nails. She prefers a companion who is not overly talkative.
A female client near E. Yale Ave & S. Dahlia St. is seeking a female volunteer for weekly mid/late morning visits. She enjoys going out for coffee, chatting, grocery shopping, and reminiscing about fashion, reading, or her former exercise routine. She also enjoys watching golf on TV.
A female client is seeking a Spanish-speaking volunteer for visits. She enjoys talking in Spanish, going for walks, or working on arts and crafts or jewelry-making projects with a patient, kind companion who can help her feel connected and supported.
Location: Various locations throughout Denver metro area.
Time Commitment: Flexible. Once a week or twice a month, 1–2 hours per visit, daytime preferred.
Requirements: Background check, driver’s license, proof of insurance, proof of first two COVID-19 vaccinations, age 18+ (or youth with a parent/guardian who fully participates).
Commitment: At least six months preferred.

Boulder Needs:
Community Food Share Delivery Drivers
We teamed up with Community Food Shares and will start distributing food to 45 homes beginning on April 14. We are planning to continue this once a month and hope to have nine volunteers each time.
Passover Seder volunteers
We have 11 seders scheduled at older adult living facilities in Boulder County and are looking for volunteers to come early to help set up and then stay through the service to assist residents, followed by light clean-up.
If any of these seem like a good fit, please reach out to Nicole Hosack.
