September Featured Program - Best Buddies

Best Buddies

JFS Best Buddies pairs Jewish individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) with peer Jewish volunteers to build friendship, connection, and community. This month, we’re excited to spotlight an especially meaningful match, Zach and Jeremy.

Zach and Jeremy were matched through the Best Buddies program and hit it off from the get-go. They've had loads of fun talking regularly and getting to know each other and seeing movies together, sharing meals, and creating stories.

Before moving to Colorado, it was difficult for Zach to find a buddy, so this connection truly felt beshert – a Hebrew word meaning “meant to be.” Their friendship is a beautiful example of the impact JFS programs can have—one meaningful connection at a time.
