June Featured Program - Administrative Support
The thank-you caller volunteers assist the Advancement team in making weekly phone calls to donors as part of the JFS stewardship process. Six thank you call volunteers have made over 600 calls so far in 2025.
The records management volunteers have helped prepare nearly 150 bankers' boxes of records for digitization! They turned what could have been a long and tedious project into a fun and rewarding journey - they have brought laughter, teamwork, and a lovely sense of community. While we still have a long way to go with the digitization process, this essential step is a major milestone. We are grateful for our volunteers' fun spirit and excited to see the finish line later this summer!
JFS recently participated in an audit with the Conference for Material Claims Against Germany for the JFS Holocaust program. Our accounting volunteer’s efforts made the process go smoothly, thanks to his help in reconciling client services with our accounting software and client database. His assistance with pulling out documents for invoices has sped up our invoicing and reduced the time to receive grant payments.
The volunteer-led CPR training had its first classes in May; we held four classes, and a total of 37 staff members completed the knowledge and skill evaluations for the Emergency Care and Safety Institute Course for Adult, Child & Infant CPR, AED, Standard First Aid with EpiPen Training. This invaluable training enhances the safety of JFS programs and saves the organization a significant amount of money.
There are also volunteers that support the receptionist and events.
