The KidSuccess School-Based Therapist provides school-based mental health counseling to students; consultation and collaboration with school staff; case management services to students and their families.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling. License required (LCSW, LPC, LMFT). All mental health clinicians must register with CAQH (Council for Affordable Quality Health) within 7 days of date of hire. 
  • Experience: At least 3 years’ post master’s experience providing child, adolescent, and family therapy. Familiarity with DSM IV/V codes and Medicaid paperwork required. Bi-lingual in Spanish, preferred.
  • Other: Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and/or group therapy to students.
  • Provide therapy and/or psychoeducation to families of students as needed.
  • Consult and collaborate with school staff regarding needs/behavior of students. 
  • Provide crisis intervention support.
  • Facilitate referrals to meet medical and psychiatric needs of clients as indicated.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation consistent with Agency standards.
  • Participate in team meetings; in-services and supervisory sessions as required.
