To support the community while everyone is staying home during the COVID-19 pandemic, JFS is offering several virtual groups and classes. We will continue to update this page as more are added.

JFS Virtual Career Launchpad

Sharpen your job-searching skills and boost your confidence by joining us for this free series of virtual workshops. Topics rotate weekly, so pick any session you need or choose to attend them all. Open to the public.

Meets online every Tuesday from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m.

ACT Skills Training for Young Adults

Tuesdays, August 4 to September 29, 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Skills Training is a psychoeducational eight-week program that uses a combination of values clarification and mindfulness strategies combined with commitment and behavior change strategies to increase psychological flexibility. Classes will be held virtually and are free for clients ages 18-26. This series is part of Abby’s Impact: Realizing Resilience, a client-centered, integrated program for young adults ages 18-26 that builds skills to facilitate resiliency and foster healthy minds.

JFS Virtual Job Club

Do you feel stuck in your job search? Are you ready to find the career you have always wanted? Join the JFS Virtual Job Club!

Our group is run by JFS’s employment program coordinator, who leads discussions on how to prepare, organize, and execute a successful job search in a supportive, structured, and collaborative environment.

The JFS Virtual Job Club is a FREE resource for all jobseekers to connect, share, learn from, and support each other throughout the job search process. We learn creative job searching techniques, résumé writing, and professional communication skills, as well as how to manage emotions surrounding the job search.

MEETS ONLINE: 2nd Tuesday of each month, 4:00-5:00 p.m.
