Volunteer - Para-chaplains

Help create a warm Jewish connection for members of the Jewish community by becoming a Bikur Cholim (Visiting the Sick) para-chaplain. Visit senior Jewish residents of non-Jewish living facilities, hospitals and prisons, and provide companionship and friendship to Holocaust survivors. You may have the opportunity to facilitate discussion groups, lead Shabbat and holiday services, or simply sit and visit. To be a para-chaplain for JFS, you must be Jewish but do not need an extensive Jewish education. Para-chaplains must complete our training prior to their first assignment.
