Employment Cultural Orientation for Refugees and Newcomers
Cultural Orientation is a free virtual workshop available to refugees and newcomers who are ready to start their employment journey in the US. Through this workshop, participants will understand more about expectations and cultural norms in the workplace. Topics include:
Job search strategies and interview tips.
Employment documents and onboarding.
Workplace expectations and your rights.
US workplace cultural norms.
Who Should Attend:
Refugees and newcomers preparing to or already working in the US.
Staff and case managers who support newcomers.
This is a 2-hour workshop that is offered monthly, in English, and interpretation in various languages.

10 a.m. - 12 p.m. MST via Zoom
The workshop offers sessions in various languages:
August 18 with Spanish interpretation
September 15 with Russian/Ukrainian interpretation
October 20 with Dari/Pashto interpretation
November 17 with Arabic interpretation
La Orientación Cultural es un taller virtual gratuito disponible para personas refugiadas y recién llegadas que están listas para comenzar su trayectoria laboral en los EstadosUnidos. A través de este taller, los participantes comprenderán mejor las expectativas y las normas culturales en el lugar de trabajo. Los temas incluyen:
Estrategias para la búsqueda de empleo y consejos para entrevistas.
Documentos laborales y proceso de incorporación al empleo.
Expectativas en el lugar de trabajo y sus derechos.
Normas culturales del lugar de trabajo en los Estados Unidos.

Personas refugiadas y recién llegadas que se estén preparando para trabajar o que ya estén trabajando en los Estados Unidos.
Personal y administradores de casos que apoyan a personas recién llegadas.
Este es un taller de 2 horas que se ofrece mensualmente, en inglés, con interpretación disponible en varios idiomas.
