Employment Cultural Orientation for Refugees and Newcomers

Cultural Orientation is a free virtual workshop available to refugees and newcomers who are ready to start their employment journey in the US. Through this workshop, participants will understand more about expectations and cultural norms in the workplace. Topics include:

Job search strategies and interview tips.
Employment documents and onboarding.
Workplace expectations and your rights.
US workplace cultural norms.

Who Should Attend:

Refugees and newcomers preparing to or already working in the US.
Staff and case managers who support newcomers.

This is a 2-hour workshop that is offered monthly, in English, and interpretation in various languages.

آشنایی فرهنگی یک کارگاه مجازی رایگان برای پناهندگان و تازه‌واردانی است که آماده‌اند مسیر کاری خود را در ایالات متحده آغاز کنند. از طریق این کارگاه، شرکت‌کنندگان با انتظارات و هنجارهای فرهنگی در محیط کار بیشتر آشنا خواهند شد.

موضوعات شامل موارد زیر است:

راهکارهای جستجوی کار و نکات مصاحبه.
اسناد استخدام و مراحل آغاز به کار.
انتظارات محیط کار و حقوق شما.
هنجارهای فرهنگی محیط کار در ایالات متحده.

چه کسانی باید شرکت کنند:

پناهندگان و تازه‌واردانی که برای کار در ایالات متحده آماده می‌شوند یا در حال حاضر مشغول به کار هستند.
کارمندان و مدیران پرونده که از تازه‌واردان حمایت می‌کنند.

این کارگاه دو ساعته هر ماه برگزار می‌شود. کارگاه به زبان انگلیسی ارائه می‌شود و خدمات ترجمانی به زبان‌های مختلف نیز در دسترس است.
