It was truly a family affair as 300 members of the JFS family joined us to honor Board members and cousins Aaron Hyatt and Scott Stillman at the Faces of JFS 2019 Winter Soirée last week. Thanks to the hard work of the event committee and our honorees, this event raised nearly $500,000 to benefit Jewish Family Service's life-transforming work!

The festive party at the Infinity Park Event Center, which felt like a family reunion, included cocktails, passed hors d’oeuvres, a photo opportunity from A Custom Look, and upbeat entertainment by the Jonny Mogambo Band.

After mingling, guests took their seats for a seated dinner and program. Rabbi Rick Brody, Jewish community chaplain, kicked off the program with a meaningful d’var Torah. JFS Board chair Leanna Harris welcomed everyone and thanked the sponsors and committee. She then introduced JFS president & CEO Linda Foster who gave poignant examples of the myriad ways JFS changes lives every day.

Paddle Raise

After an inspiring video showcasing Aaron and Scott’s relationship and why they support JFS, fundraiser Eric Goodman took to the stage for a paddle raise. He asked people to “work as a team” to raise support for JFS’s programs and services. The fast-paced, energetic auction brought in nearly $100,000 in mere minutes.

Andrea Stillman had the honor of presenting the Joyce and Kal Zeff Humanitarian Award to her husband, Scott Stillman and Brad Farber bestowed the Yana Vishnitsky Leadership Award to his close friend, Aaron Hyatt.

The honorees graciously received their awards to much applause and standing ovations as they were recognized for their outstanding work in the community on behalf of JFS. They thanked many out-of-town family members and friends for attending and remarked how amazing it was to receive the award with another family member.
