Partner Spotlight: FirstBank

At JFS, we work collaboratively with partners who support our mission, programs, and services, creating a community of success to help those who need us most. When we work together, remarkable things occur—through grants, donations of funds, food, and supplies, or volunteering—and our partners’ commitment makes all the difference.

FirstBank has been a sponsor of the JFS Executive Luncheon since 2015. Let’s learn more about how they got involved with JFS and why they continue to support our agency.

How did you first get involved with/introduced to JFS?

As a company that represents ‘banking for good,’ we stand for championing diversity, equity, and inclusion and elevating communities in need. We were introduced to JFS by several community members, knowing we would align well with the value of the nonprofit’s mission.

What about JFS’s work/breadth of programs and services speaks to you most?

FirstBank believes in creating a more inclusive world, within and outside of our organization. We share a responsibility with JFS to ensure everyone has the resources needed for success and supplying housing stability and other essentials plays a sizable role in that.

What would you tell other companies who are considering sponsoring this event (or other JFS events)?

The Executive Luncheon is a unique event our guests look forward to each year. The opportunity to sponsor an organization who puts people first is appealing, and it is a privilege to work together with the goal of helping those in need in our community. While we sponsor hundreds of events each year, this is one of our favorites.

FirstBank began providing banking services in 1963. Today, it’s known as an industry leader in digital banking and has grown to be one of the largest privately held banks in the United States, maintaining more than $27 billion in assets and over 100 branch locations across Colorado, Arizona, and California. Since 2000, FirstBank has been recognized as a top corporate philanthropist, contributing nearly $75 million and thousands of volunteer hours to charitable organizations.

Everyone at JFS is grateful for FirstBank’s commitment to the agency. With our generous partners and supporters like FirstBank, JFS continues to be there for so many in our community. Thank you!
