Jewish Family Service Receives $1 Million Endowment for Youth Mental Health

Jewish Family Service of Colorado (JFS) is the beneficiary of the Metzler Family Childhood Learning Endowment for its KidSuccess school-based mental health program. All funds will be used to meet the immediate and long-term needs of the youth mental health crisis. KidSuccess is an innovative program in which trained JFS therapists work in Denver-area schools, providing children and adolescents access to quality counseling services. The programs unique hands-on approach promotes a positive, inclusive school culture for students that fosters achievement, high self-esteem, resiliency, and personal responsibility.

Robert F. Metzler and Rosemary M. Metzler were both professional educators passionate about providing children with opportunities to succeed. Their generosity will help sustain and expand the KidSuccess program for years to come, giving even more school-aged children access to counseling services.
