Holocaust Remembrance Day Ceremony
The United Nations General Assembly designated January 27, the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz –Birkenau, as International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Kavod Senior Life is hosting a ceremony on January 27, it is free and open to the public. The event starts at 1:00 p.m. at Kavod Senior Life, 22 S. Adams Street, Denver CO 80209.
The program will be led by Rabbi Booth-Nadav, Rabbi Rick Brody, and Pastor Caitlin Trussel, featuring special readings, music, and a time where survivors are honored. Rabbi Birdie Becker will perform on the cello.
It is a rare honor that Colorado resident and Cantor Zachary Kutner, a survivor of the Holocaust who was imprisoned in the Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II, will sing the signature prayer “El Malei Rachamim” at this commemorative event.
