Celebrating the holidays throughout the Boulder community

Our Boulder team was out and about in the community to celebrate the holidays!

In September and October, we continued our long-standing partnership with ten older adult facilities to provide Rosh Hoshana services to residents and their families. Residents expressed gratitude for these gatherings, with one attendee sharing that the service he attended helped him feel a sense of belonging, which was important to him especially in this climate. This year’s celebrations took place at:

  • Balfour Lodge

  • Balfour Lavender Farms

  • Brookdale Meridian

  • Brookdale North Boulder

  • Flatirons Terrace

  • Frasier Meadows

  • Golden West

  • MorningStar

  • Peaks at Old Laramie Trail

  • The Pearl

In addition to services, our dedicated volunteers helped pack and deliver 71 Rosh Hoshana treat bags to our clients and isolated older adults in the Boulder area. And new this year, we partnered with the Women of the J who gathered for a Hallah and honey cookie baking activity to bring goodies and joy to Boulder County older adults. “I loved the baking opportunity,” shared volunteer Evie. “I’m making a difference in a different meaningful way. I hope we do more things like this!”

Thank you to all of our rabbis, para chaplains, the older adult facilities, and volunteers who made these events a success. We truly appreciate everyone’s efforts in making these celebrations meaningful, and we could not have done this work without their time and commitment.
