April Volunteer of the Month

We are excited to introduce Michelle C., our April Volunteer of the Month! 

Michelle volunteers at JFS Altius Farms helping with produce packaging, seeding, cleaning, and transplanting locally grown, sustainable greens and culinary mushrooms at the farm. 

Staff member, Tommy, nominated Michelle, sharing: 
 
"Michelle truly is an extension of our team. We trust her to tackle all operational tasks on the farm, and it is a huge lift for the team when she’s in the greenhouse. Her positive attitude is infectious, and we also appreciate her contributions to the greenhouse playlist." 

Michelle reflected on her time at the farm, saying: 
 
“I've been volunteering there now for about a year. I've learned so much in the daily operations and have found that along with the knowledge I have under my belt now, that I could offer more assistance to the farm through some volunteer coordination efforts.”
