JFS is accepting new clients for our Friendly Visitor program

For many older adults, social isolation is an unfortunate reality. Whether an individual no longer drives, is less physically active, or has family out of town, many variables can contribute to maintaining friendships and interests. The Friendly Visitor program is here to help, and right now, we are welcoming new clients.

The JFS Friendly Visitor program promotes connection, engagement, and fun between older adults and volunteers. Volunteers are individually matched with an older adult to provide an hour or so of companionship each week and help clients remain engaged and involved, whether doing puzzles, chatting over coffee, taking a walk, sharing stores, or enjoying community activities. The program offers older adults a way to stay connected with their community through volunteers who often find that they establish a rich connection with the individuals they meet.

If you or an older adult you know is interested in enhancing their daily life, JFS has volunteers waiting to help improve their well-being through social and emotional connections. For more information about these services, contact us or call 720.248.4701
