Cars for Charity

Jewish Family Service has partnered with Cars for Charity to collect vehicles and turn them into cash donations. By donating your car, truck, van, boat, or RV, you can help the vulnerable in our community!

Cars for Charity makes the process of receiving car donations easier by:

• Arranging to pick up your vehicle

• Examining the vehicle – some go to auction, while others may go to   a recycler

• Accepting and forwarding the net profit as a donation to JFS

• Informing us about the donation, resulting in a JFS acknowledgement   for tax purposes to those who donate a vehicle in the same way   as those who give cash donations

There are NO fees charged to you for donating your vehicle. One hundred percent of the net profit is given to Jewish Family Service. Cars for Charity, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, enables JFS to accept car donations.

Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of tax deduction will I get?
Under federal law, donors can deduct the amount the vehicle brings at auction if it sells for over $500. A tax deduction under $500 is determined by the donor. Please consult with your tax advisor for the amount of the deduction that you will be able to claim.

How do I designate my donation to JFS?
On the Cars for Charity website, please note "Jewish Family Service of Colorado" as your designated Non-Profit.
