Everyone needs a helping hand from time to time. Since 1872, Jewish Family Service of Colorado (JFS) has helped individuals and families overcome life’s challenges. When you feel that you need help or support, you can count on us. JFS is your single point-of-entry for vital resources in our community. We provide help to all, regardless of race, religious affiliation, gender, age, income, or sexual orientation.
JFS has a wide array of services available to support you in a variety of circumstances including:
Boulder JFS offers care management services for Jewish older adults living in the greater Boulder area. Services include holiday outreach, volunteer services, and information and referral.
Care Connection provides services to disabled or chronically ill adults that allow them to maintain their independence. Services include care management, personal care, transportation, counseling, homemaker services, and information and referral. Peer counseling is offered to teenagers.
CHAI - A Jewish Community Response to Domestic Abuse provides confidential counseling, advocacy, and information and referral. CHAI also operates a peer counseling program for teenagers.
Family Safety Net provides support services designed to help those facing crises regain their self-sufficiency while maintaining their dignity and respect. Services include rent and food assistance, care management, and information and referral.
Jewish Disabilities Network provides a single-point-of-entry to case management, information and referral, recreational activities, and Jewish cultural and educational opportunities for Jewish individuals with disabilities, and provides associated services to their families.
JFS at Home provides 24 hours-a-day seven days-a-week non-medical in-home care. Services include homemakers, personal care, and aid with ambulation. JFS at Home services are private pay.
JFS Community Chaplaincy offers spiritual comfort and support to unaffiliated Jewish community members in hospitals, hospices, long-term care facilities, and correctional facilities.
JFS Counseling Center assists children, youth, adults, families, refugees, and seniors in healing from crisis, grief, trauma, and post-traumatic stress. In addition, therapists treat severe and persistent mental illness such as major depression and bipolar disorder. School-based counseling programs are also provided.
JFS Group Home offers caring, supervised residential living for eight adults with developmental disabilities.
JFS Senior Solutions assists individuals aged 60+ to live as independently as possible, for as long as possible without compromising their safety or health. Services include care management, homemaker services, personal care assistance, transportation, meal delivery, nursing home outreach, and information and referral.
New American Support Services provides mental health counseling through the JFS Counseling Center to refugees experiencing adjustment issues and also offers citizenship training.
Rafael Spiritual Healing Center offers a network of resources and programs that provide spiritual and psychological support for those dealing with death, grief, chronic illness, or profound life changes.
SHALOM Denver employs, trains, and provides community access to people in the untapped workforce including adults with developmental disabilities and people transitioning from welfare to work. SHALOM Denver provides affordable business solutions including mailing services, packaging, assembly, and printing.
Volunteer Resources supervises nearly 600 individuals who provide vital support to the agency. Our volunteers provide more than 15,000 hours of service each year.
Weinberg Food Pantry at Jewish Family Service assists families and individuals facing hunger and food insecurity. Many of our services are open to the entire community and appropriate for people from all backgrounds. Others are geared specifically to the needs of those with Jewish backgrounds, but we gladly embrace and support diversity in the Jewish and broader community.
